North American Ice Cream Association held their 89th ConeCon Convention in Fort Worth, Texas November 7, 8, 9th.
One of the most anticipated event is the ice cream clinic - which tests the quality of our ice cream - back in September we entered several flavors that were analyzed and judged by a group of trained food scientists from Cornell University.
These trained professionals analyzed the entries through a double blind code system testing for the following 6 categories:
Flavor, Body/ Texture, Melting Quality, Color, Bacteria-plate count and Bacteria- coliform.
We are excited to announce that after all scores were tabulated Krasa’s Kove will be bringing home 2 Red Ribbons!!!!!! (2nd Place) Chocolate and Strawberry!
At the convention we were able to network & share ideas and concepts with ice cream professionals from across North America, including Canada & Mexico. There were several sessions offered each day with some topics including strategic planning and goal setting, handling bacteria and contaminations, business evaluations, offsite opportunities, wholesaling and so much more.
